"I’m genuinely impressed with these boots. The moment my foot slid into them, they felt almost as if they had been made to measure. The fit is excellent, the leather feels fantastic, and the shearling lining makes them noticeably warm and comfortable. Winter hasn’t properly arrived yet, so I’m still curious to see how they perform in prolonged cold weather. My only concern is insulation from underneath, as most of the warmth seems to come from the shearling around the sides of the foot. I would definitely be interested in a high-quality insulated or shearling footbed from Solovair to complete the winter setup. I specifically wanted a boot with a zipper because I’m a volunteer firefighter and, when I’m called out, I sometimes need to get out of my everyday footwear very quickly. Unfortunately, the shearling-lined version isn’t available with an integrated side zip, which would probably have been my perfect boot. Instead, I added the Solovair Zip Guard, and I’m very pleased with how well it works. It gives me exactly the quick-entry and quick-exit functionality I was looking for. One small issue is that the tongue isn’t secured in position and tends to shift sideways a little. I’m hoping this improves as the boots break in. Apart from that, I’m extremely happy with them. They fit beautifully, feel wonderfully warm and comfortable, and the overall quality is excellent. A fantastic pair of boots. ★★★★★ 5/5"
