Our Goodyear welted footwear is a little larger than most other brands. We would therefore recommend you either purchase a pair of our cushioned socks with our footwear in your regular size, as they offer about 1/2 a size extra fitting, or you go 1/2 a size smaller than you typically wear.

Applying a suede protectant before wearing your footwear for the first time will help guard the surface. A suede brush can be used to remove dust and restore the nap after each use. Suede and Nubuck finishes should be kept away from large amounts of water due to its porous quality.

"I've only worn these a couple of times so far but they are comfy and not too many wearing-in problems. Sizing is a problem when buying on line; Solovair were very good at swapping for a different size. I read the reviews, which suggested that it was a good idea to buy a slightly smaller size than usual. I am 8 1/2 UK, so I bought an 8. In length it was what I usually expect from an 8, i. e. barely big enough, but this is quite a narrow boot and my toes spread out so I went up to a 9, which is slightly long but has enough width for my toes. The room at the end isn't a problem as the boot laces up the ankle so your foot doesn't slip about. Thanks Solovair!"

Great boots, impossible sizing

"The boots themselves are beautiful and sturdy. Navigating the sizing charts and ordering a boot that fits … isn’t. You don’t wear your normal shoe size here. I ended up ordering based on the actual measurements of my feet, as indicated on the website. Which generated an unusual shoe size that was smaller by 1. 5 US sizes (normally US men’s 11. 5, ordered US men’s 10, received a UK men’s 9 which is apparently the same thing). But I trusted the system and ordered the size indicated on the chart. When it arrived it was, to my absolute surprise … too small. Boots were too short in length. I exchanged for US men’s 10. 5 which was easy and free. They do use DHL for shipping, which is mildly inconvenient in the US. I imagine that once you know your size with this brand you’re all set."

"Great quality but the sizing was odd for me. I'm a US 9. 5 in women's sneakers and usually need a 10 in boots because the toe tends to be narrower. In men's, I wear an 8 to 8. 5. But a Solovair women's 9. 5 was HUGE on me and I had to exchange for an 8 which pinches a little but I'm hoping after I break them in they'll fit better."

Great boots, odd sizing

"I originally got the 3,5 UK pair, however, they were too small for me. Return was no hassle at all and the support was quick and super friendly. Now I have a 5 UK and they fit well (feet are measured 23cm under full weight). Definitely consider buying 1-2 sizes bigger, for me the sizing was quite odd as described above.
